Last year, after a long time, I am back to biking. My first goal was very easy—without preparation, just to start and bring more sport into my life. However, this year, I would like to start a new challenge. While the precise nature of this challenge is still undetermined (I am contemplating opting for the Summer Challenge instead of the One Month Challenge as I did in 2023), I am better equipped and contemplating ways to enhance my preparation. I have experimented with transporting bikes in my car. In terms of my sport achievements and sharing my progress openly, this year holds the potential for great improvement. I am eagerly awaiting to see how I will conclude this year…
Last Year (2023) first Bike goals
My personal challenge was to accomplish (in case of Bike) the following within one month:
- Bike: Cover a distance of 50 km
I didn’t have a problem accomplishing it. It was a very small number. But please remember that it was my return to biking after a long time.
Tracking
I use the anydistance app to track my progress, as shown in the screenshots. The blog OneYearChallengeProject contains consolidated data, personal remarks, and serves as an archive of my journey. Tracking my progress is also possible through my personal Instagram account, where I share Insta Stories in a dedicated folder. Furthermore, all data from Anydistance is synchronized with the default Apple Health app.
Season Openning – first trainings
In 2024, I have already completed two short trainings. Still a small number, but please remember that I am getting back into activity after the winter break.
25 February 2024
First training, my goal was just to start with biking this year.
3 March 2024
Second, but first, regular training. Here, I try to make the training as long as I can. Based on the results, it is less/more the same as it was last year. I can try to increase it step by step.
Current Records
The table will be regularly published. I want to establish a table for monitoring my performance and determining if my sport abilities are progressing. A similar table was previously released in the last year’s challenge cycle. I will update it with my latest accomplishments. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.
Distance (KM) | Time (H:M) | Date | |
Bike (Distance) | 10.6 | 55:51 | 3.03.2024 |
Bike (Training Time) | 10.6 | 55:51 | 3.03.2024 |
